About JulieMarieTherapy

Julie Marie Dyrholm Bill

Registered Art Therapist (AThR) with a Master degree from Sydney University and accredited by the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA).

My passion for Art Therapy began in my early twenties, when I worked in a craft shop supporting young people and adults with intellectual disabilities. In this role, I facilitated a creative day program designed to foster a sense of community, encourage social participation, and bring joy and fulfillment to those involved. It was a deeply rewarding experience that opened my eyes to the healing potential of artistic expression. While I intuitively witnessed the positive impact of creativity during this time, it wasn't until I began my formal studies in Art Therapy that I gained a deeper understanding of the psychological theories and frameworks that support and explain this transformative process.

During my art therapy career, I have been working with children, young adults and adults. I have worked extensivly within the NDIS space and supported children and young people overcome challenges associated with anxiety, complex trauma, anger, ADHD, autism, global development delay, serious illness and grief.
